Give The Gift of Mental Wellness This Father’s Day

Mental health not-for-profit The Banksia Project is urging Aussies to pay it forward this Father’s Day by making a donation on behalf of Dad in support of men’s mental health.

The Banksia Project has upped its focus on delivering free supportive online communities during the pandemic through its Virtual Growth Rooms – a series of free online support groups that maintain mental health through ongoing education, connection and mateship. Facilitated by trained volunteers, each session runs for two hours monthly and focuses on ways for men to overcome everyday challenges and open up about life’s experiences.

After just three sessions, Growth Room participants reported feeling 40 per cent more connected, 30 per cent more resilient and, on average, 25% happier*.

Donations will be used to create and sustain The Banksia Project’s free mental health services for all Australian men to access.

Here’s a breakdown on where your money will go, based on the donation level:

$45 pays for one participant to attend a Growth Room for one month.

$250 funds the training of two Volunteer Facilitators and the launch of a new Growth Room.

$450 pays for one participant to attend a Growth Room for an entire year.

$4245 pays for 10 participants to attend a Growth Room for an entire year.
